Early in college, Kris suffered a severe shoulder injury playing football. He was prescribed pain medication which eventually led to a three year opiate addiction and many legal problems.

He now serves the ministry of Teen Challenge as the first graduate of the program in its history to take on the role of President/CEO. Kris finished his Undergraduate degree in 2010 and Master's degree from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown, PA in 2014.

Kris met his wife Toni in high school. They dated on and off for about two years. A dramatic situation arose in 1999. They found themselves in a crisis pregnancy which they regrettably decided to terminate. Kris’ wife encountered the God of grace in 2001 and prayed many times for her husband to be. Toni went on to work in a crisis pregnancy center where she spoke to the youth about abstinence until marriage. She was focused on bringing change to the local community.

After ten years of no contact, Kris approached Toni to apologize for what happened in high school. Their relationship was reconciled in 2008 and their friendship led to the realization that there was much more in store for them. They were married in June of 2009 and currently have four beautiful children, Isaac, Ayriana, Isabella and Kristopher Jr. Their diverse gifting’s have helped impact the ministry of Teen Challenge, their local church, and the community at large through active participation in our local Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Kris and Toni both welcome and enjoy opportunities to share their story with others dealing with similar situations.
